Why does my leg hair get prickly the morning after I shave them?

I have to shave 3 to 4 more times than my sister.

Because shaving doesn't get rid of the hair entirely. The root of the hair is still present so you can feel it, shaving only cuts the hair so that it's very short.

Well, first of all, your hair is probably thicker. But the first day it's at it's shortest and that's why it's so 'sharp'. It has no give to it. It can't bend or anything, so it's like a stick sort of. Understand? If you want your leg hair to thin out, then you might want to wax. But why are you doing it? For sports? Then stick to shaving. IF you are doing it for your lifestyle, then maybe try waxing. It makes the hair shaft smaller over time. We are talking months here, though. (Edit) Ok, so, maybe you could try Nair for a little while. That's supposed to last a little longer than shaving, but my skin is too sensitive, so I've never actually tried it. I have, however, used pre-waxed strips for my legs, and it does take a while to do and hurts the first 2-3 times, BUT, takes much longer to grow back, because you are basically plucking each hair out. I don't know why, but when it's time to do it again in about 2 weeks, each time it hurts less and less, no lie. I hardly feel it at all on my shins. Plus a lot come w/ numbing gel. Hope that helps. Yea, its completely common. Shaving doesnt harm, however the draw back is which you awaken with stubble the subsequent morning. additionally, attempt to shave another day...the greater often you shave, the greater it grows returned the subsequent time. try using products like Veet, theyre painless and save hair off longer. additionally, waxing is only as efficient as shaving minus the stubble. finally, try digital hair removers without blades. No stubble what so ever! wish I helped=]

Plucking (tweezing), Shaving, Depilatory creams and Waxing are temporary hair removal methods.
Waxing usually lasts for 3 weeks, but it is painful.
Electrolysis and laser hair removal are "permanent" hair removal methods but are expensive and you have to find a trained professional, otherwise your skin could be damaged.

The prickliness is just hair growing back. Your leg hair is probably thicker, darker, and probably grows faster than ur sisters. i hope that answered ur question!!! =)

your leg hair just gows faster than hers. its ok, my head-hair grows faster than anyone else's i know. that, or your leg hair grows at a normal rate and your sister's leg hair grows slower than normal.
