What? Are you serious? Back in those days I don't think too many women thought about things like that. Maybe when God came to her and told her she was going to give birth to his son, she was overjoyed. The thought of not wanting the baby would have been blasphemous. At least that's the way the bible tells it, but you can't always go by the word of man.

God knew Mary's heart so he wouldn't have picked her if she was going to do that! Mary Was technically Married but the marriage wasn't consummated thats why she was still a Virgin @ the time of the birth!

Nasty question that shows you do not understand the person of Mary very much, but since you want to know: Mary, conceived without sin, accepted the request without hesitation. I do not think that any other alternative occurred to Her as She fully trusted God, Her faith was that strong. That is why Mary is first among Saints.

Back in those days women Had NO RIGHTS.
Women were considered property .
Today is a different story ,women are a vital part of society and they have rights ,
If the religious fanatics had their way ,women would lose their rights again. I love the fact that women are becoming equal .
Men can learn from their temperments and ways of problem solving,

Mary gave her full consent to become the Mother of God.

Once Jesus was conceived, no one could take his life from him without his permission.

So no, Mary could not have aborted him.

This question is irrelevant
according to scripture, Mary welcomed the news that she would bear a child - a mightly brave thing to do in that day and age, since she was not yet married and could easily have been rejected by Joseph and society in general.

Mary accepted gods will to give birth to Jesus. if god felt Mary would abort Jesus then he wouldn't have chosen her for the task. therefore she had a choice, chose wisely, and she freely chose to obey the will of god whom she served faithfully prior to and after accepting to be the mother of god.

There was no such thing as abortion during Christ's time, Mary loved the Lord God, she feared Him and she was obedient to what He wanted to do through her for us, If she had not wanted Him however, you and me wouldn't be here right now, we are sinners and God made a new covenant with us through His beloved son Jesus, to die for our sins, washed by His blood on a daily basis, by simply asking to be forgiven allows us to live one more day. I love to talk about God and to bring glory to Him.

Ok youve just been told that God has givin you a child and that child will be the messiah and his name Jesus. You are already a believer in GOD as ..well ..errr your GOD and hes giving you a job to do...

.. i really dont think that a choice of aborting this baby even entered her mind.

If you believe in somone that is far greater than yourself that he is your Creator and God... and he gave you a Baby to carry Saying to you that this Child will be the Savior of mankind.. i doubt you could honestly tell me that you wouldnt want that child

God knew the state of Mary's heart before He chose her. He would not have chosen her to carry Jesus had she been the kind of woman to choose killing her baby in the womb.
