If you don't already have a close relationship with god and haven't read the scriptures??? The bible says they will be throwing their money in the streets. Learning how to farm would be nice.
But I am afraid with that attitude about it, you are not seriously seeking answers but are being sarcastic. He says he is bringing to ruin those ruining the earth.
Jesus is setting up his kingdom on the earth and forget being cute, do some serious soul searching. The majority of mankind is going to die. They laughed at Noah before the flood. When the water started to fall and the door was locked no one was laughing. How would you feel if you knew a nuclear bomb was heading your way and you had 20 minutes to make peace with god. That is how long it takes to get here from Russia.
If they make peace with Iran as it looks like they have the cold war maybe over. All within 20 min.
It wasn't raining when Noah built the boat

I won't be sarcastic but I want to tell you of my experience with the Lord. People laughed at me when I came to know Jesus as my Lord and Savior. People that I knew for a long time because I was the jokester, the one who didn't care what others thought. When I did except Jesus, the feeling was overwhelming. I felt like a huge bolder was lifted off my shoulders and this amazing sense of peace came over me. My life has never been the same. Yeah, you will be called "bible whacker". and such, but who cares? It is in the end that counts. If you know Jesus, you won't need money, or have to worry about what to eat, because before all the bad things happen, you will be with the Lord. You don't have to sit in your room all day reading scripture. Once a day is good, however, Jesus said, :"Pray without ceasing" You don't have to say repeated prayers, just talk to Him as you would a friend. Tell Him what is on your mind. Voice your concerns to Him. He will never forsake you. because He loves everyone, He just hates the sin that mankind do. It's not hard. It's WONDERFUL. God bless you.

I'm an Atheist, but yes. It's always wise to know how to hunt, farm, sanitize water, learn to use a wide array of weapons, etc. If anything should happen (war, breakdown of society etc.) For us that can do these things will be the only ones to survive a disaster.

I would keep your money with you now, not in banks or funds. I would live normally, just have food storage, a plan for if anything goes wrong. And maybe even extra gas, you know if we ever ran out and you had stocked up on a ton you could sell it for a whole heck of a lot, but biggest thing is food and water storage.

Live your life as you always do. No one knows the time for the end of time but our Father in Heaven , not even Jesus. Live your life for the Lord , be a Christion , and be happy. You or I could die in a car reck or something. So the end of time as we know it is no big thing . There is nothing to be afraid of. Read your bible each day , pray, & love the Lord with all your heart and sole.

Hurricane Katrina was a lesson for all that we should be prepared to take care of ourselves in the event of whatever type of natural disaster is possible in our particular area of the world.
As to the "last days", people have been running around predicting this for a couple of thousand years. Usually with their own profit as a motive. My advice is to take all of that kind of talk with a grain of salt and rely on your common sense.

You say you are at peace with God. Does that mean you are saved through faith in His son? Because that is the only way to salvation.
If you are, then how we should occupy ourselves is to do what the bible tells us to. Be kind, merciful, forgiving, loving, compassionate, try to live each day expecting the return of Jesus for His church.
