My daughter wants to lay those 1 in. thick bricks on one of her bedroom walls. How do I go about ordering the bricks? Like from where and how do I know how many I need? Then, how do I put them up? I have a big project ahead of me and I need your help..

Those, we call stick on stones. I guess the best way to find resources in your area would be to call a brick contractor and ask him. Most are friendly and will help.

Measure the wall from top to bottom and side to side.Take the dimensions of the wall to a brickyard and tell them your laying them up dry. You will need a saw that will cut bricks as every other end brick will have to be cut to fit. Shi-- tell ya what, this is a big job for a novice bricklayer so I tell ya what,They make sheets of faux brick walls and you can cut em with a knife to fit and they look realistic enough

There used to be a product called "Z Brick" that was thin bricks in different colors or even fieldstone. They had their own adhesive that looked like mortar. They were made to put on wallboard. I haven't seen this product lately but a building supply store would know what you were talking about.

Well, I am assuming you want to plaster them on to sheetrock walls. The wall may not be able to support the weight... you may want to screw some cement backing board (used for floors) to the wall studs first, with some metal mesh screwed to the cement board. It will help the bricks & mortar stick.

first u make it so that the floor will support the weight..u will have to beef up the floor joist in that area..to figure the amount u need measure the height of the wall and the with, this will give u the sq ft. of the area....
