Because he's reinforced for it.
Think about it. Your dog has an instinct to protect his terrority. When he sees a car coming, he barks. The car comes closer, he barks louder. And, lo and behold, the car goes away! It works!
He chases them because he sees them as prey. If you don't like him doing this, consult a behavioralist or dog trainer. Good luck!

Dogs chase things that move. Keep your dog on a leash and stop letting him run around in the street!

somebody desires to artwork with the dogs to coach them that the vehicle chasing isn't suited. initiate with basic obedience coaching so the dogs listens. artwork with the dogs so as that it keeps to be on command. Our dogs used to chase the neighbor's motor vehicle because it went down their driveway that runs alongside our assets line. Their driveway is a million/3 of a mile long. I worked with our Dobie/Lab blend everytime that i ought to and he or she finally could stay if I instructed her to. the buzz in her physique develop right into a ineffective giveaway that she had to chase that dang motor vehicle yet she did no longer. it is going to take TIME and staying power even with the shown fact that that's achieved.
