I think "God" realized he made a terrible mistake in his creation.

He preprogrammed people to be evil. What kind of "loving" God would preprogram his subjects to be sinful and then punish them for the sin he created? Maybe the Biblical translators mistranslated that one? The term they really needed for that was "sadistic God" not "loving God".

As the highest form of repentance, God sacrificed his only son to redeem his irrational, clumsy creation.

That's the only logical explanation, of course, unless you admit it's all the greatest hoax ever perpetrated by mankind.

If you'll notice in the OT, people get caught up in the "sin cycle." God is good to people, they inevitably turn away. God brings disaster on them, they repent, God restores them. I cant tell you how many times that cycle was repeated but Jesus came to change all that by making us new people.

So from now on we regard no one from a worldly point of view. Though we once regarded Christ in this way, we do so no longer. Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has gone, the new has come! -2 Corinthians 5:16

The spirit that lived as Jesus was one of the highest forms
of life. His death created a spiritual power that opened the doors
to the spirit dimensions, which were slowly closing due to our
hard-headedness.

No. Read the New Testament more closely and you'll see that Jesus was trying to get people to accept him as the Messiah. I seriously do not believe he came to die. His death, however, was the last resort to give man spiritual salvation. We would've had physical salvation if he was accepted by the Jews as "he who is to come".

MY opinion.

Atheists should be careful with their arrogance because it is indicative of an inferior mentality. You are arrogant out of self-preservation which self-preservation is only employed when one feels threatened by someone or something. That is also indicative of a lack of self-confidence because you feel the need to attack others out of some perceived need to your preserve yourself. You are overcompensating for the insecurity you have in your faith (Atheism) and yourselves, this is why you feel the need to lash out at others, who are different in thought from you, in such an assaultive fashion.

This "lashing out" can also be symptomatic of an inferiority/ superiority complex.

Hmmm... only one reasonable answer, so far.

Modern biblical scholarship makes a very compelling case for the idea that Jesus was entirely fictional.

i believe that Jesus was destined to die upon the cross as the sacrificial lamb of God. Christ, who was embodied in the mortal form of Jesus.

Christ himself cannot die, as He is divine.

No, I believe He sent Christ to teach us. Christ had a choice, and chose to sacrifice himself.

I do believe
that Jesus died for me
That on the cross
He shed His blood
