I drank a little bit of water before running, and for 4 miles I got side stitch and felt very bloated (I could feel and hear air in my stomach with every step.)
What I want to do is drink enough water before running to keep hydrated and prevent side stitch. How much and when should I drink water before running, and long enough for it all to be digested, so it doesn't splash around and make me bloated? (And since I run 7 miles, should I drink water halfway through, or do I not need it?)
