There may be flea eggs and larvae in the environment (outside or inside). This is a source of continuous new adults trying to get on your dog. There are indoor and outdoor area treatments to use in addition to frontline plus.

There are many flea shampoos you can use to remove adult fleas from your dog but as soon as he's rinsed they can come back

The battle against fleas is a never-ending headache. If you are having trouble with Frontline, try Advantage. Flea powders work but are messy. It is likely that you now have fleas in the house; walk about (especially on carpets) wearing a pair of white socks, with a needle-nose pliers in hand, and see how many jump on your feet. If it's a lot, you need to fumigate the house; fumigants sold at home supply centers are effective. You can also use insect sprays on the outdoors area that your dog frequents.

mmm. Not only do you have to bathe your dog but you have to wash his bedding, or throw it out if it is mangy and get him a new bed.

Another thing you can do is add a HALF teaspoon of BREWER"S YEAST (you get it in the health food stores) to his wet food (or dry food with a raw egg mixed in) every day. This repels the fleas throw the scent it gives off from the dog's skin.

The bumps could be fat deposits and caused by what you are feeding the dog. Don't buy just cheap food, buy healthy food that has a good balance of rice and meat in it. You can always supplement the dry food with left overs from your meals (no sugar and NO CHOCOLATE as they are poison for your dogs). Be creative in making your dog's meal, he will truly appreciate it, be healthy and live longer.

Fleas do not breed on the animals, they breed in the carpets or the soil in your garden, you have to treat ever thing to prevent another infestation, spread lime under the house if the dogs go under there, Flea bomb your house then vacuum, wash all the dogs bedding weekly, then de flea your dog. As to the lumps he may be allergic to fleas , or could be mosquito bites. We got rid of all the bedding and used hay instead, change it weekly

If you haven't give your house and the areas he goes in ( bed, carpets, etc. ) a goo cleaning than unfortunately he will be getting fleas for a long time to come. Your vet or a reputable pet store can help you out with what you need to buy and how you could free the house

Do you vaccume your floors, bleach your walls, and bag al lpillows/stuffed animals when he's being treated for them? If you don't clean you house spotlessley, then he'll getting them because they live in your rugs, blankets, pillows, stuffed animals, ans even your mattress! Once you have done that, the fleas should go away. As for products......the ones your using now should be fine once ALL of the fleas are gone that are living in the house.

I've had better luck w/ Advantix... & it also works on ticks & mosquitos. Ask your vet about any shampoo products, as Frontline combined w/ a medicated shampoo may be toxic to your pet.
