Sandy, my 8 year old knows better than that, Venus' orbit is smaller than earth's which is smaller than Mars'.

Oh, and the Bible says the universe will be destroyed.

2Peter 3:7 By God’s word the heavens and earth of today are being reserved for fire. They are being kept for the day when God will judge. Then ungodly people will be destroyed...10 But the day of the Lord will come like a thief. The heavens will disappear with a roar. Fire will destroy everything in them. God will judge the earth and everything in it. 11 So everything will be destroyed. And what kind of people should you be? You should lead holy and godly lives.

So yes, it will be destroyed, but not because qaran said it!

Yes. In an atomic explosion, it takes place thru chain reaction, and when you view the structure of an atom, it closely resembles our own solar system.

A particle collides with the atom, releasing tremendous energy, IE a collision with our sun, and tremendous energy release and would affect near by celestial bodies and start a chain reaction.

Sleep well tonight as the likelihood of that happening is practically non existent.

All the religions in the world speak of the end being near.
The Mayan calendar which has gone on forever, abruptly stops on December 24th, in the year 2012. I hate to guess what that portends.

It IS possible for this solar system to be destroyed if there were a super nova, an exploded star. Super Novas have been known to actually engulf entire solar systems.

On the other hand, I doubt this is near at all.

definite, it could be plausible even with the undeniable fact that it relies upon upon the way you outline the be conscious "universe". some human beings believe that universe is composed each little thing so no remember how tremendous section we detect it is going to nevertheless be a universe. yet, scientifically speaking, if shall we discover the different area the position our regulations of physics would not help the events in the area, it could be reported that that is yet another universe. in my opinion, i don't believe of searching this variety of area is plausible. even with the very undeniable actuality that, human beings would come upon unusual debris like antimatter, which will require new formulation, the area as an entire would not be diverse from what we now comprehend. So, i think no remember the position we bypass, the necessary regulations which we've stumbled on till date will nevertheless carry. So, i don't believe of we can detect any new universe.

The Bible says the earth will exist forever...and the righteous will live on it forever. So the sun will be here forever..so don't worry about the rest, wait a short time and you will find out more.

While it is scientifically possible, it is not God's will, so it is not possible,as he is in control, and cannot lie. Ecc.1:4, Psalms 37:29.

Well, yes. The sun will first expand and become a red giant, engulfing Mars and Earth, and perhaps Venus. And eventually the sun will burn out, like any star.

Is this particular end near? No. Six to seven billion years is the current estimate.

Sure. If a gamma ray burster went off within a thousand light-years of us, our solar system would be sterilized. But then, all copies of the Koran would be destroyed also.

It is possible for the entire physical universe to be destroyed, not just our solar system.

Many cosmologists see an expanding and then contracting universe. Others take this further and posit an infinite cycle where a universe starts, expands, contracts, and ends. So, yes -- all form ends.
