as the engine gets more miles on it the pressure will drop at idle you can show no pressure at idle it dosent mean your engine is going bad or it dont mean you have a bad bearing it means the engine is just getting a little wear on it this is normal when they get a few miles on them it could also be your oil it can break down and thin out when it does the pressure will dropas long as you have good pressure when you step on the gas you are o.k

Well, How low is low? Does the light come on? Is quite normal for oil pressure to be about 20 psi or so, then when you step on the gas, it'll go up due to more pressure being made by the oil pump. I know this probably isn't the answer your looking for. But hope is a bit helpful for you.

well the rule of thumb is 10 psi for 1000 rpm. you read your oil pressure of the cam bearings and yours may be old and worn, also check the oil filter some can cause low pressure at idle, especially with a semi sythetic oil, also a 400m is a 400 modified, not many performance parts for them

Engine getting old. Probably need s motor job. Rings not sealing well, blow-by, poor compression. Low oil pressure at idle usually indicates an OLD engine..

It depends on how low it is.... Is it like 20psi? 15psi? It can go as low as 8psi on the ford 5.0l. Does it go to about a normal pressure when your driving. If not, find out where it's bleeding out.

And a new oil pump doesn't make it a good oil pump.

WELL FIRST OF ALL HOW MANY MILES ON THE ENGINE? SECOND OF ALL IF YOU HAVE GOOD PRES AT SPEED THEN THAT MEANS THAT YOUR CAM BEARINGS ARE GOOD IF YOU HAVE NO PRESSURE AT IDLE THEN THAT MEANS THAT YOU HAVE A BAD MAIN BEARING,
