as long as you keep it moisturized. if your ends become split or breaking easily, get some leav in comditioner and dont straighten, just put moose in the bottom and constantly pull your hand through so you are forcing it straight. and when your hair dries just break the shell like surface the moose creates. it should be fine.

Well, a little of both. I straighten my hair almost everyday (i don't only if i wear it curly), and the worst part for me is split ends. To make up for that, i use conditioner that helps with well, split ends, and it is really not that bad. You do tend to be prone to get them if you straighten your hair while it's wet, you have to be sure that it's completely dry, not even damp, and take it from me, the "wet/straight" irons, are a "no no". they might advertise good, but they will hurt your hair. When you first begin, you might have someone show you how to use it, because you need to learn how long to keep it on you hair, it needs to be long enough for the heat to work, but you don't want your hair to burn.
Good Luck!

while you're making use of a good shampoo and conditioner, yet a low-value straightener, then the straightener, positively. while you're making use of low-value shampoo and conditioner and a low-value straightener, then you definately're beating your hair up rather badly. while you're making use of low-value shampoo and conditioner, yet a very somewhat good straightener that isnt burning your hair, then the bathing on a daily basis. i comprehend that countless each physique is in this entire "no washing" kick, yet heavily, some people might desire to bathe on a daily basis. If I dont, no longer in basic terms does my hair look greasy, i comprehend it, I swear i can scent it and my self-self belief is 0. None of those issues are ideal. good shampoo is rather well worth the money in case you have great hair.

Yea it can be damaging to your hair if you use it heaps.
Maybe you should buy some heat protecting balm for your hair , You use this before you straighten it, this will just prevent your end's from fraying and getting damaged,
If you do notice damage being done to your hair from straightening, Just get it trimmed,
Also don't forget to use a deep conditioning mask occasionally on your hair to keep it moisturised, because straightenintg can be drying!!
Maybe get your mom to read some of these answers so she feels comfortable buying you one.!!

well anything is bad when it's out of moderation.
if you want to straighten your hair make sure you use a protective spray like one from l'oreal (it's a red bottle), because the extreme temperature could cause dryness, the hair will break or you will get split ends.
Alternatively use a good brush and a hair dryer. Good luck.

Maybe if you just cut the ends off that will help to keep it all even. Hair that is healthy stays more together, damaged hair has breakage and is all different lengths which makes it easier for the ends to go in all different directions. Clip them regularly for heathly hair.

Straightening does damage your hair but if your just using it on the ends it won't damage it as much because it would be a small section of hair.

Yes it is. You are putting extreme heat to your hair. Using a hair straightener daily can give you split ends and fly aways.

i got GHDs and they RUINED my hair. they stop the hair growing and because i used it more on 1 side my hair grows lopsided + they give you split ends so now i brush my hair and the ends fall off.
if you are adament you need straightners dont use them everyday, use heat protection and for gods sake dont straighten 1 side more than the other lol
