this is my last5 attempt but hopefuly it will work but i'm just learning and i found a diagram like this one on the internet so it must be right but i'll never know til someone answers this post the link is at the bottom

Exactly what are you trying to do? Drain a battery? There are better circuits for that.

That is a basic transistor circuit, but you are missing the input terminal, usually a resistor connected to the base.

Edlt: sorry misread your picture. You need to connect the base through another resistor to the positve battery terminal instead of the collector, in addition to the above. The output is from the collector of the transistor. What you have drawn is a transistor connected to work like a diode.

You are doing good lol keep going you will get it. Just remember electron flow goes from - to + when working with Electrical engineering specks.
