Your heart does not necssarily "skip" a beat or stop beating for that matter. Due to changes in interthoracic pressure prior to sneezing your heart has a tendency to deviate from its normal pace and rythm. keep in mind this happens in a fraction of a seconds and is a normal variance that happens to all people even when we cough or take a deep breath.

In a word, no, your heart does not stop when you sneeze.
A sneeze itself is really a very brief event, occurring in a shorter time then a heartbeat. Of course, there is the building up to the sneeze (the "ah" of the "ah-choo"), but the heart certainly does not stop beating because of this ah-ing. Check your pulse next time to prove this to yourself.

yeah it's true that ur heart actually stops while u're sneezing...n the reason as to why u dont open ur eyes when u sneeze is because ur eyes will pop out of their sockets...its scientifically proven, for me, because i believe what i read

Yeah, I heard that. I don't know why, though. Plus, you can't keep your eyes open when you sneeze (and, for some reason, you shouldn't try it).

Doubt it. But I have heard that when you do, that's why your eyes close almost automatically, and when you laugh very hard. The force is considerable and they'd pop out.
