I e-mailed for information on a vehicle and additional photos. He wants to talk by phone and ignores my questions. I am just asking for basic information.

I e-mailed to ask about the vehicle ... just basic questions like do all accessories work, is the paint solid, could I see photos of all sides of car and interior if available? He would reply only by giving me his number to call. The dealer is 4 hours from my home. I was trying to save his time because if the car was not what I wanted, I would not drive that distance and just keep looking elsewhere. He won't answer the most basic of questions ... why???

That should tell you something already about this salesman. Move on and find another dealer.

The reason he keeps giving you his number is because he wants you to come see the car in person. Thats what he's trained to do. And he wants you there because your likely to like the car when you see it for real and not just on a screen. Sales people are trained to sell an appointment on the phone and sell the car in person. So if you are really interested in the car then you will go see it. Its like a test your salesman is doing on you. So my advise. Go see the damn car and if you don't like it, then you can be sure about it when you mark it off your list. And as far as him not answering your simple questions, he may be busy or just a bad salesman. So if you do go, ask for another salesman.

I easily were in sales all my existence, and right it really is my suggestion: do not mess with vehicle sales in the present day. Your gentle age will prevent human beings from taking you heavily. Your clientele and employers will trample you. in case you want a occupation in sales, bypass to varsity and get a company degree. artwork section time in a retail save, ideally something more desirable sales orientated, as adversarial to easily stocking cabinets or operating a sign in. you may learn the basics of sales there, and artwork your way up.

A good salesman will lure you into their car lot to try his hand at selling you a car from his selection so he can get paid. Regards.

My guess is that he doesn't want to put anything in writing that he's not willing to back up.
This should be a MAJOR clue that you should steer clear.
Lots of luck there.
