Aluminum or fibreglass sided six tires and around 15,000 lbs Then there are the Aristocrat Homes On Wheels mostly buss chassis longer eight feet wide 10 tires luxury features marble floors 24 karat gold faucets Plasma TV's rear view cameras. Even wider with triple slide outs roof pop ups when stopped weighing in at over thirty thousand pounds they drink diesel like a Greyhound Buss. I walked abord one of these luxury crusers and was told they sold for 1 million dollars but it had 3 42 inch sony plasma Tv's master bed room office with computer work station, a middle room on each side that make 3 bed rooms and office! when stopped and bathroom with tub shower and complete kitchen too!

Actually most of them are made a lot like your house.. WOOD 2x4 . Now for a upgraded fee you can get aluminum framing. Watch one burn up on the side of the road not pretty. It is the only way to make them light enough they all have a steel bottom frame.

the frame is made at one of the big three car makers with normally a van front on it and then shipped to the rv manufactor. but some rv's dont have a van front, just the frame and engine and driveline then shipped
