Well I'm 14, I'm doing the same, but I'm basing on my favorite color all the way (which I've already picked out)! So you could do that and different shades of your favorite color, I'm doing purple by the way! Which that could be nice for you, too!

I think lavender and green are great together but you must have a couple favorite colors. Do mostly one color and accessories in other. I use to find Target had great ideas for girls rooms and lots of wonderful things like lamps, throw pillows, rugs, bedspreads, wallpaper or just boarders and all coordinated. And there are so many wonderful things you can do with your walls. Different paint styles and textures. Don't go too wild for you will soon tire of it. Blue is suppose to be the best bedroom color for sleeping.

I just decorated a teen's bedroom and she went for 4 different colors all walls facing one way got the same color, all walls facing the other way got another, she had a lot of cubby areas so it added extra pop to do it this way. Her color choices were soft shades of aqua blue, frosted pink, sherbet orange, and key lime pie green...

Open your closet, adn look at the colors you mostly wear. Pick out the 2-3 outfits that make you feel the best and most confident. They probably have a common color, adn that should be your wlal color!
(unless you're goth, then skip that tip)

It all depends on what colors you like. Try colors like pink, white and black or light colors like soft yellow, pink and a light green. Go to bhg.com and they will have some inspirational bedrooms to get ideas from...

whats your favorite color?? I'm sure you know this one....then just go to the store, and look at the range of that one color and pick out one that is lighter, one that is darker, and then an in between color. Paint the ceiling one color, paint the trim another color and paint the walls the other color.

www.pbteen.com is a great website from Pottery Barn.
Sign up for their catalog.
Use the ideas you like to mimic the look on a lower budget...
Stay away from drastic changes, and banish any color you really don't like.
Have fun...

Depends on your favourite colour. Buy a comforter that you like and take a colour out of the comforter for your walls.
