I am on Weight Watchers and highly recommend it. It really teaches you what eating sensibly is about. Before I started I thought I was following a somewhat low-fat, sensible diet. Boy was I wrong. Now, I eat within my points range, exercise about 2-3 times a week (I know it should be more) and I've lost close to 20 lbs in 3 months.
The thing I love about WW is that it's a realistic lifestyle change, not a fad diet. There's no crazy menus, no pills, and the food choices are whatever you want. I can still have the foods I love, I just watch my portion size or I'll save up points to splurge on the weekend.
My advice to you if you start WW is just be true to yourself and count every point. You will definitely see results.
Good Luck!

Try it, you will love it. You can eat any food you like, just certain portions of it. It will really teach you portion control and as long as u don't cheat(you'd only be cheating yourself right) You will see the pounds fall off you! WW is not as restrictive as other diets so you don't feel like you're on one, so I will highly recommend it to anyone looking to lose weight!I recommend only going to the meetings long enough to get all the books, like 6-8 weeks give or take a little, and buying a recipe book from them. Then do it or your own. It will save u a lot of money. Of course if you need the support of others, stick with the meetings. Good Luck! And Congratulations on the start of a new you!

If you are serious about loosing weight and will stick to Weight Watchers then it should work for you. All of the poeple who responded that it doesn't work also stated that they didn't stick to it. I know a lot of people who have lost a lot of weight on the plans that WW offers. Do what you think will work for you.
Research a couple of different things before deciding on one.

Exercise is just as important to losing weight as eating right is. And it doesn't have to be anything really strenuous. Get out there in the evenings and take walks, do some low-impact aerobics with light weights to start with and build up your strength and endurance. As you lose weight, you'll probably feel yourself have more energy and may want to take on some more challenging exercise. If you don't have or don't want to buy exercise equipment, find a gym in your area that's not expensive (or even free, if you can find one) and put in some time there.

No its a ripe off. What worked for me was a firm exercise program at a local gym. Get a personal trainer ( they are usualy free with gym membership) and the personal trainers can advise you on a proper diet based on your exercise program and weight loss needs and usualy is less overall then you would spend on ww

Don't throw your $money$ away. Use your own discipline to solve the problem. Diet & Excercise are the answers. And a lot of water. The most important thing is to DEVELOP a PLAN for diet and excecise and stick to it.
Good luck.

Exercising and eating the right foods can help you loose weight. Cut out the red meats, eat more chicken & fish. Lots of veggies and walking bristly, works wonders. But you have to be serious, no cheating.

It's a more sensible way to go with no overnight magic. Try it;you might like it. Personally, I found it difficult to relate to the people there. You may find them very supportive. Good luck and yes it's worth a try.
