It takes about 1 to 2 years depending on how you take care of your hair. If you washing it every 2 days you can destroy your hair because you keep washing the oil out and it will be dry. I have let my hair grow out by washing it once a week or every other week. I press it so that I can still manage it. I started growing it out with a beautician. I am still growing it out being relaxer free. You can ge an electric pressing comb at Sally's for about $30.

Good Luck!

No you don't want to keep washing it because you don't want to dry it out. Continue to wash it like you normally do. When you get your hair relaxed you break down the chemical structure of the curl in the hair and you make it permanently straight. So there is no way to get relaxed hair natural except to let it grow out and get your ends trimmed every 6-8 weeks until there is no relaxed hair left. Different people's hair grows at different paces, so no one can say for sure how long the process will take for you as an individual. If everyone's hair grew the same...........you know....... so anyway, make sure you do deep conditioning treatments every 6 weeks and I recommend the aphogee reconstructive treatment, found at Sallys. This is because when you decide to go natural you create a weak spot in the hair shaft, everywhere the new growth stops and the relaxed hair begins. And when you comb the hair with those weak spots and put tension on the hair you are likely to have breakage. The aphogee will help against that. Good Luck on your natural journey...........

Relaxers grow out from the scalp. The part of your hair that is relaxed will stay relaxed. Shampooing every two days will just dry it out. What you have to do is transition from relaxed to natural hair. Get your hair braided every six weeks and when you take them down deep condition and get 1 inch trimmed off. Before you know it you will have a head full of natural healthy hair. Do not press it because it will stay straight and if you wanted straight hair you would keep it relaxed. Hair grows at about a half an inch a month. Any chemical treatments you have done to your hair will remain there until that hair is cut off. Which means if you have hair that is three inches long and dyed blond then you dyed it back to natural. You will have to wait until 3 inches have grown out, approximately 6 months.

no sweetie
you can't wash out the relaxer
theres nothing you can do to get it out but cut it out your just gonna have to let your hair grow and just straighten the roots
thats what i do
washing your hair everyday will only dry it out cause it to break and that aint sexy

it depends on how fast your hair grows plus you might want to keep it braided to prevent the hair from breaking off as it grows
