I need a car that is comfortable on the highway, roomy, and dependable ... coupe or sedan. I would also like to have a little style to it ... a little eye appeal. It would need to seat 4 or 5 people (preferably 5) and have a large trunk. Again, I am seeking recommendation on a 1985 ish or so used car. Thanks!

oh come on there is no such thing as a reliable 80's car. It does not matter what you buy. I had a chevy cavalier Z24 and was all black. Sharp and comfortable. It was ok in the performace area. Im talking about a 89. Early 80's um mercury capri is nice. Sporty stylish and really comfortable but then you get people that either like it or hate it. So if you can deal with jerks buy one. Thats all I can think of.

I have a 1988 Cutlass Ceira That has been the most reliable car ever the most expensive thing i have done to it was replace the tires. I you do get on of these cars get a a 3.8 Litre engine the 3.0 is best used as a boat anchor (problematic because of poor design) and the 2.4 is slightly underpowered.

God no don't get a GM product with a 3.8 engine, are you kidding me? There's a reason you rarely see a 80's GM product on the road today in decent condition.

Get a honda or a toyota.

GM products from the 80's are infamously bad. All of them.

get a GM product with a 3.8 Litre in it. very reliable and cheap to work on. Ford wasnt having much luck and Chryslers cars just flat out sucked. just my opinion but i spent those yrs working on all of them. trust me when i say the 3.8L is very reliable
