I'm not sure if you wanted to know how to cook without causing pain to your joints, or how to cook food that reduces pain.

This website has some great information from the Mayo Clinic on ways to work in the kitchen (and elsewhere in the house) that reduces stress on your joints and causes less pain. It should give you some great ideas. There are many ergonomic kitchen tools that I use to reduce painful chopping, etc.

As far as food goes, from what I've heard it's not usually a good idea to eat a lot of dairy with rheumatoid arthritis. Also, sugar seems to cause a pain flare in some people. I notice it sometimes when I eat chocolate that I feel more sore the next while.
