Just turn up or down the lights, turn off the music and annouce that the party is over and say; "Thank you for comming." Before you announce, clean up the food/drinks. When you said the party is over you can point to the exit and say that anyone is welcome to help clean up.

Turn off the music and begin cleaning up. This sends the message clearly to most people.

Do like the Sean Paul video when the old Jamaican man grabs the mic, stops the music, and says "I warned you once but you didn't listen! The Party done!" LOL

Hand them their coats, bags and shoes and even car keys if they are lying aroung. Go to the front door and switch on the door light. Open the door and say "goodnight you all, hope you had a nice time, see you all soon!" Stand by the door and don't leave until they get the hint to leave.

If all else fails, get into your pyjamas and leave them alone. Go to bed.

You can do what a friend of mine from college would do . . .

When he was ready for everyone to leave his apartment, he would turn off the music, open the door, and yell at the top of his lungs . . . "IF YOU DON'T PAY THE BILLS HERE, GET THE **** OUT! Thank you for coming, and drive home safely."

Everyone would leave, and no one was ever offended.

Start screaming "LAST CALL" about 1/2 hour before you want them to leave. Then tell them all to leave, pushing them out the door if necessary. Bartenders have to do this all the time.

Yawn long and loud. "Oh my gosh, I can't believe how tired I am!" Let them know it's time to get to work. "Well, I guess I better get to those dishes! Would you like to load the dishwasher?" Or blame your tummy. "Hey guys, I'm going to be on the toilet for a while- when I get back we can watch family movies."

If that doesn't work, call the cops.
