my Laredo 4x4 4,0L Grand gets 16 av in town and 21av on the highway. Also if your jeep has the tow package ( 3.77 gear ratio) it will get a little better mileage because it doesn't lug the engine as much on inclines. However on the V8's this is not true but the opposite,

My 1998 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited with Quadra Trac 4WD gets about 23mpg highway and 15mpg city. (105,000mi on Jeep)

We had a 6-cylinder. Initially, it got 18mpg. By the end of its run, it had holes in the exhaust manifold, scared little children walking down the side of the street, and got about 11mpg.

I still miss gunning the car to scare the pants out of people.

Nice car, thirsty gas.
