I like this guy that worked in another dept. at a company I used to work at. I think I already hinted that I was interested but a part of me doesn't think he got the hint and a part of me thinks he does. So how can I convey to him that I am interested without making it seem like I'm telling him twice if in fact I did (htat's an if by the way)...

Plus there's a risk he's not interested and I may have hinted at my interest in the past...but a part of me thinks I didn't ...so I wanan tell him without risking humiliation or annoying him if I indeed asked him twice.

A nice innocent way could be to give him a call and see if he wants to do lunch or a coffee etc. It's not really a come-on and if it were me, I'd see it as innocent and appreciate the invite.

Well, I'm a guy, and you wouldn't believe how dense I am.

I would have really appreciated it (before I got married) if those girls who were interested in me had just cut through my fear by walking up and saying, "Hey, are you ever going to ask me out?"

But then, I don't like to beat around the bush about anything, either.

Well in a socially setting, offhandedly bring it up. " You know I mentioned this before, but wasn't sure if you really heard me." Better to ask and be sure than to assume, be wrong and miss an opportunity.

Guys, if they are interested (and single) will do something. You are obviously still in contact with him, so if he wants you he can easily hook up with you. Find someone new.
