The field of Criminal Justice has many different specialites. Corrections, probation, police, security, investigations, home protection, some social services functions... even large corporations hire criminal justice professionals as consultants.
Some of the answers have suggested that you could be a judge of lawyer, but that's not true. In order to be a lawyer you must have a law degree (different than criminal justice) and a judge requires the same as a lawyer but with X amount of experience.
I have my criminal justice degree and I'm currently a supervisor for a hospital security department. I'm also a consultant for other security departments, a Taser instructor, a Mace instructor, a defensive tactics instructor, and I often give training classes for police officers. Just as with any other degree, your possibilities are almost endless, it's just finding your niche! Good luck!
