that you are trying..Everyone says "to be yourself" but I always seam to put my foot in my mouth and say something dumb. I never know how to start the conversation, so i just tend to look around,,,HELP ..I don't wanna come across as a idiot, yet i want to be seen for who I am.

Don't think of it as a date! Treat them like a friend... makes it much more simple. Also make sure your not in the mindset of "this is the person I am going to marry". Have fun

Only go out with guys you feel comfortable with, someone you know you can talk to without fear. Or be easy on yourself and understand that nervous with a new person is normal. Try humor to begin with. Laughing has a way of helping you relax.

You've probably heard all the crap, but in all honesty if you're comfortable in your own skin that's what will show through. On the other hand if that puts some people off, it could be because they aren't comfortable with who they are. Relax and enjoy the ride.

well i think the best way to be able to relax & enjoy a date would be to just go out and watch a movie or just simply stay at home and cook something small and when eating listen to some music that you both like..

Have great convo and have a sence of humor say something dumb who cares thats what makes you special and if he or she doesnt like that then forgive them and move on. I learned this about my self a while ago
But you do have to act mature and not goofy if thats what you mean. Act like a grown up and talk about things like school and just be on their level roll with their flow and play off of him or her. If she or he brings up a topic feed off and that and ask questions or if they make a comment about something anything feed off of that and ask questions about why they think that or something that startsa convo about something. If they see a roach crawling and say ehhh I hate roached say why did you have an experience with roaches. anything just talk about something.
And if you just plain dont know anything about starting a convo reasearch cars transformers watch the news sports learn old songs or learn about old artist and learn the names of sports team play xboxes and stuff ask questions read the dictionary learn new words read about the stocks and business type stuff. find a hobbie men like women who have something going for themself
Just think you are going on this date to have fun

Plan out a few topics you feel comfortable with before the date, and if things get silent, as the other person a question or two.

talk about things you're interested in. he may like the same thigns u do. and dont worry about sayin something dumb you just have to be comfortable with that person. just relax before you say anything and think about what you r goin to say and make sure it isnt something that will embarrasse you.

Go to the movies, one the guy would really like. Than you will have lots to talk about. Or go with other friends. That always works.

find a nice place to go for a walk. a small out the way place to stop for lunch or dinner later. read tips on dating and relationships on this site
