Sorry, but there's no way to lose a lot of weight in a short time and still do it in a healthy way. Even if she did manage to lose a lot of weight in a short time she'd mostly likely regain the weight...and then some. Rather than set an unrealistic goal, she should work on avoiding junk food, eating healthy, balanced meals, and exercising (this can be tennis, soccer...you name it). If she approaches her weight loss this way she'll change her habits and will have a much easier time of keeping the weight off.

Tell her to watch her diet. My advice? She needs to do 200 minutes of cardio a week. Remember fat does not turn into muscle, so you need to lose your fat while putting on muscle. The 45 minute thing is not true, but don't over 60 minutes at a time.

Do 5-10 minutes of cardio to warm up, then do your weight training. Do 30 to 60 minutes more of cardio, then go home.

The best time to eat is just after your workout within an hour when your metabolism is raging. For your muscles, incorporate some isolated soy protein or whey protein. Whey is more potent but the soy tastes better!

Don't look at your scale as the be all and end all, but get a measuring tape to check your progress, and that will show more tangible results.

Good luck and stick at it.

she has to start by cutting out junk food, sweets, breads and pastas and soda. Drink a lot of water and walk a lot. Put a few exercises in there like sit ups and crunches and she will lose some weight. Also, keep her away from sitting at a computer or in front of a tv all day. Get out and walk that's the best exercise. Good Luck
