I'm 5'9 and my boyfriend is 5'6. I model occasionally and I wear heels a lot, so at times I'm a lot taller than him. He's very cute, we have a lot in common and I love him very much. He says he feels self conscious when we're out together. What do I say to make him feel better?

What an idiot your boyfriend must be. You two have a RELATIONSHIP and he's worried about being self conscious? In other words, he's worried about HIMSELF? I'd find a new boyfriend. It sounds like he a Napoleon complex, and yes that is a real issue. Its when guys feel the need to be superior to women and they can't because the woman is taller. These type men tend to get violent over time. PLEASE look it up, it may save you some problems in the future.

Tell him it's fashionable now to have a taller woman for a succesful man.... In one celebrity event all the guys had women taller than them!

Seriously, I'm in the same boat. Show him you love him, there's no need for words. When he sees this and know that it doesn't bother the woman he loves, so it darn well won't bother him!

dont wear heels, where balletflats or something flat. do alot of things together that involve sitting like (movies, goin out to eat, sittin in the grass just talking) try not to constantly remind him that your taller than he is, because after a while he will forget about it if your having fun together.

It depends on how you two met and why you are with him. Whatever ideas got you together in the first place can be used to remind him that it wasn't about height when you met and it's not about height now.

Remind him that when your in heels, he is at the right height for pillow time.
Actually though, it is something he needs to work out for himself. Nothing you can say or do will help.
