oh don't you know it's a consipiricy and number 2 wouldn't be so popular if it wasn't "required" to take all of those tests, in fact everyone hates tests, and those require number two. the better confusing question qould've been if everyone hates tests shouldn't they hate number 2 pencils

The color of the "lead" in a #1 pencil is yellow, and the "lead" in the #2 pencil is very dark.
So when you go to school, people will ask you if you are taking a number 1 and number 2.

why use a #2 pencil, when you can use 1/2 of a #4 pencil. bye bye.

i think because its the type of lead or size of the lead used in the pencil. thats a really good question. it still confuses me! lol

Its still the one that you can put through the test scanner (You know the bubble sheets you fill out then they put it through a machiene).
