The Hare Krishna and the Christianity religions are so similar, and it's complicated to see in what both religions differ, without counting the obvious, Christ and Krishna.

Well I may have to answer this one to the best of my ability. Someone I know became a Hare Krishna and the system was very destructive. There are major differences between Christianity and the followers of Krishna. Christianity has a system of Grace and not works. even if Hare Krishnas use the word grace do not let that fool you it is a works based salvation. now that is an important thing to be able to explain. The Hare Krishnas are not exactly Hindus either because they apply a universalist religion (or we all believe in the same God because after all Krishna does mean God.). The key in this is to really say what do you believe about Jesus. More and likely based on recent interaction and a viewing of an 80s documentary that will have a rehearsed answer. they will say that Jesus and the father or"Godhead" are one so therefore Jesus is good with us, or they will say that Jesus is one of the incarnations of Lord Krishna (but not one of the main 8 which obviously like all other religious systems they sort of diminish the role of Jesus). since they believe in either of those you could point out what Jesus says many times in the bible that he is the way the truth and the life. those who love me will keep my commandments or the fact that Jesus was Jewish and was following the commands of his father Yahweh (one of the jewish old testament names for God) you can also point out that one of the ten commandments is you shall have no other gods before me. You have to know the bible and you can t look for commonality. you first have to show that you do not believe in the same God because of xyz and then have a civilized discussion on the validity of the gospels. since they hold to a universalist understanding this pointing out of the differences will (LORD WILLING) cause them to think of the validity of their beliefs. I used to be an Atheist and became a Christian so if I am going to believe something with all my heart soul mind and strength i m going to know what i m talking about. I hope this helps you or someone. one last comment the point isn t to convert them their state of mind will not allow it so do not be surprised if you are countered with hostility. provide the information and hope the holy spirit works in them.

You would evangelize them just like anybody else. If, y'know, you were a dick about it. Why would you try to convert them? For that matter, why convert anybody? If your religion were so great, then they'd leave voluntarily and join you. So give your evangelism a rest and save it for when (if) somebody asks you.

Pondering............no, only in a humanistic way are the two religions somewhat similar. Spiritual-wise, they're worlds apart. Re-check your notions.

The two religions are completely different. We believe JESUS IS LORD and they believe that we are our own Gods... To witness to them is difficult but if you do plan the seed. Let God handle the rest.
