I have a painful sore on my tongue. It just appeared this morning. It makes it difficult for me to talk and it is making it hard for me to eat certain foods without the sore hurting me more. I'm not positive where it came from. I wear a mouth guard at night. So, I'm guessing that might be the reason for my sore. Does anyone know any medication I can put on my sore tougue?

it sounds like you have a swollen taste bud it will go away use your toothbrush and brush you tongue with it. and rise with some mouth wash. the old saying its a lie bump.

Sometimes I get a sore on my tongue when I eat too much chocolate. Could that be it ? Medication ? I just tough it out & cut back on the chocolate.

try adding a teaspoon of salt to a glass of water and rinse it around your mouth 2 or 3 times a day.If it doesn't get better see the Doctor it could be an infection and require antibiotics.

swish it with warm salt water 1tsp to 1 cup water, if this doesnt resolve within a few days see your doc because it could be a cold sore and treatable with valtrex or something else

i call those sweet bumps i always get them after i have a lollipop or some kind of candy ive been licking for a while it will go away in a couple days give or take a week.

Alum (not aloe) powder will help it heal faster and anbesol will kill the pain. You can gety Alum in the spice isle and anbesol in the first aid section.

eats lots and lots of yogurt that will help alot.
