Schurman Kaufin who runs the Violent Crimes institute in Atlanta participated in a 12 month in-depth study of Illegal Immigrants who committed sex crimes and murders from Jan 99 through April 06. The study found 240,000 ILLEGAL-immigrant sex offenders reside in the US. While 93<--- Sex offenders and 12 Serial sex offenders come across ILLEGALLY every day.

It does seem ridiculous that we not only have to worry about the sex offenders who are U.S. citizens but now we are dealing with Mexico's sex offenders as well. The following is a paragraph I copied from Federation for American Immigration Reform (F.A.I.R.) It's infuriating to read about the money we, as taxpayers are paying to house illegal aliens in out prisons. This has got to stop.
The criminal alien problem is growing.
Criminal aliens—non-citizens who commit crimes—are a growing threat to public safety and national security, as well as a drain on our scarce criminal justice resources. In 1980, our federal and state prisons housed fewer than 9,000 criminal aliens. By the end of 1999, these same prisons housed over 68,000 criminal aliens.1 Today, criminal aliens account for over 29 percent of prisoners in Federal Bureau of Prisons facilities and a higher share of all federal prison inmates.2 These prisoners represent the fastest growing segment of the federal prison population. Over the past five years, an average of more than 72,000 aliens have been arrested annually on drug charges alone.

I have wondered this same thing. I worry not only about the Illegal alien sex offenders- but also those who are here legaly. We need to throw the book at these people. We should not be allowing people who have commited these types of crimes into our country at all. If we had tighter security on the borders, they would not get it. Likewise if an American citizen is convicted of a sex crime, they should never walk free again. These people have a high rate of repeating their crimes and a very low rate of rehab. We can no longer allow these people to hurt our children.
