you have a really good friend, and he has an ex, they are really good friends now, but he was really in love with her when they were together, and maybe your friend still likes her but he knows that he has no other chance with her, you really like this girl too, but before they were together you promised your friend you wouldnt make any moves on her, would you ask her out now that they broke up for almost 6 months or would you keep loyal to your friend?

I wouldn't but I would ask your friend how they feel about it first.

Well i've been in situations close to this but not exactly the same. Honestly i wouldnt do anything without talkin to my friend but then again they might have the wrong impression. So i would try to move on because no matter what, unless your friend has no feelings at all for her, there's going to be some tension between you and your friend and it might lead to unwanted results like ruining your friendship.

I wouldn't sacrifice a good friendship for some girl. Plenty of fish in the ocean, but not a whole lot of good friends out there.

It depends on many things...but I guess that you should stay loyal. Only if you rlly love that girl and you know that she loves you too and that your friend doesn't mind! Cz you'll pay the price later!

I'd ask her out in a heartbeat! Their not together anymore. If your friend gets pissed then he's really not your bud! You'll both have a laugh about this in a few years.

If you like this girl, ask her out. Your friend does not own her. You do not have to check with him on how to run your life. If he gets mad, that is his problem to deal with it. Why would he care anyway......remember, they are broken up. All's fair in love and war.

I did that once, and would not do it again. Almost lost my best friend over that deal. So the answer is Don't Do It!!
