Not free.... but close.... go to yard sales, 2nd hand book stores, etc. Find SAT practice test books.
Make your own assignments ---- pick a topic that interests you and read everything about it in the encyclopedia and in books from the local library. Try to find the most indepth scientific books that are available -- if you study insects get into a complete compendium about them.
Write a full page essay about the topic of your choice every day. You can get simple essay outlines from many places on the internet. Use Google or any other good search engine.
