slow transition for sure so that your body is not in shock. just increase your intake of fruit and begetables while reducing the serving of meat. change from eating red meat to white meat and to fish or seafood.....learn the source of protein you need like soy beans and other type of beans that give you energy....if u normally have lunch with meat perhaps switch to soy protein drink once a week . Tofu a soy base product is also good substitute as hamburger or other type of meat for stir fry....

Find a good cookbook with vegetarian recipes. This will help in the beginning to make meals which taste good. Second, i suggest consulting a nutritionist about adding vitamins and supplements to your daily diet. Helpful in replacing missing minerals and vitamins many vegetarians do not get in their daily food intake.

My moms a vegan. She doesn't eat anything that has anything to do w/ animals. Not even honey because it comes from what she calls, bee puke. She loves it and when I go see her it's nice to eat something different from the usual stuff and even if it doesn't taste good, you still know it's not "gross" because it's some kind of plant.
