sounds like you might be mentally ill. why would it matter if he is colored or not. Either way you should respond with kindness, it doesn't feel as good as being mean but maybe he'll learn a valuable lesson.

I would just ignore the gesture, especially if you are surrounded by mentally ill people. But for asking such a stupid question, I know why he flipped you off.

if the mentally ill give you the finger, ignore 'em. in this instance, consider everybody mentally ill... and you needed to mention the man's color difference... why?
