Yep, these answers are right on target. Add to it, Educating the Whole Hearted Child, and The Charlotte Mason Companion.
Another hint is to go to a homeschool store or a Christian Book store, Like Mardell that sells homeschool stuff, look at what they have, then take those titles to the library. The homeschool section at your library really depends on the size of your library.

Glurpy is right. In our library, the homeschool books are under Dewey numbers 371.042 (a few under 649.68). If you can't find something specific at your local library, see if they have inter-library loan to find it at another city's library (your library should do the searching for you).

Mary Pride has a great 'intro to homeschooling' type book, called, "Mary Pride's Complete Guide to Getting Started in Homeschooling". If you're leaning towards a classical approach, check out, "The Well-Trained Mind" by Jessie Wise and Susan Wise Bauer. If you're leaning toward unschooling, try, "Growing Without Schooling" by John Holt.

Another GREAT source is a local homeschool co-op or support group. There you'll find real-life stories from the trenches.

If you have specific questions, feel free to email me.

There are tons and tons and tons. Your library should actually have a homeschooling section in the Education section. Browse what they have available and pick what interests you most.
