When someone comes from another galaxy....will it will be Jesus?
Think about it...Immaculate conception?....artificial insemination!
Think about it ... the heavens?......outer space!
Think about it .....prayer? ..... telepathic communication!
Think about it.....be back in a few thousand years?...intergalactic travel...at warp speed...
Is earth just a petri dish and is man just a science experimemt?
Is God - (yes supreme being! - yes omniscient, omnipotent and omnipresent by our standards!)- just a super evolved super race of alien being -That created us and everything we know and shapes our future and just wants us to worship him and love one another?
Or is he this guy in big white robe (big "G" on the pocket), long beard , staff and a couple of sheep....and seems to need a lot of our money...?
be Honest!
I am a Christian and I think about it ...
give me your well thought out reponse...

Yes Lucy, I believe God is all powerful,
Omniscient, omnipresent, omnipident.
I believe that 2000 yrs ago a man, was the son of God healed the sick raised from the dead , I believe that because I believe in him God will take me home.
I love my neighbor like I love my self
I take no Gods before him
just be logical ...knowing all we know about science ...we can be devout Christians and still not have to believe in a magical mystical shepard type being ....thats for people 2000 yrs ago,
Think about it all they knew was sheep hearding and fishing...of course those were the personifications used... make sense?

oh my GOD (no pun intended) THANK YOU finally someone else is thinking just what i am. doesnt it totally make sense!? all these stories about technically magic, "supreme beings"... it completely ties in with the theory of an alien species!!! the liberals dismiss this theory! but no one knows what happens when we die, right? no one KNOWS how humans came to be! theres proof of evolution but the human species could have been brought down in a primitive form and evolved, right? humans really know nothing abotu space do we?! (that stupid saying that we know more about space than our oceans... bs) its such a plausible theory... im a christian too, but i can bend the stories and accept all possibilities. finally... thank you, fellow thinker

You have a point. The Universe is endless there must be something 147 billion light years from us....other dimensions, different states of consciousness, other highly evolved beings. I always thought it really narrow to think we are it. God in all "her" greatness must be experiencing "himself", somewhere in this universe, as something other than human. Maybe heaven is an alternate universe, maybe once we evolve into a spiritual being that's where we go....maybe Jesus was an alien...it would make sense. I'm a Christian as well and though I know it's NOT popular to ask questions concerning what we are told about the Bible and Jesus, I can't help but dig deeper and ask. Asking, I think, makes your faith stronger, keeps things interesting and over all you LEARN and GROW! Ahhh to look through the eyes of the ultimate observer and see things as you have never seen them before. Don't live in the "know" live in the "mystery."

One day we'll find out. I really don't think he needs our money and really gets tired of preachers in $2000 suits asking widows for their tithes.
I actually have thought about the, and I quote you, "just a super evolved super race of alien being" but have to always go back to the Shema, which is Duet 6:4 and it says, Hear Israel, The Lord is our God, The Lord is One.
I believe this verse to be true.... I believe there is only One and what my finite mind cannot comprehend I know that , "he that endures until the end, that person will be saved" so I just keep plugging on knowing that one day we'll be amazed at the awesome truth for those who "keep the faith."......

Good idea...could be quite possible our view on God is really visitors from another galaxy.
Or what if our "souls" are really other entities (aliens) of themselves and they need a "host" to survive. Our souls could have come on a large meteor that hit our planet and having religious beliefs is a reminder that we come from somewhere else ie another planet all together.
Just cause you're christian doesn't mean you can't think outside the box.

It is always good to think and wonder....didn't God create you and give you this ability? To question and think is healthy. The phrase "to have faith is not to question" which I have actually heard, is not genuine, in my personal opinion. That is more of a blanket statement to control the masses. There are all kinds of people who are Christians, a lot of them think like you do, wonder about the world, our creation, and many of the things you outlined. I think anyone who criticizes you for thinking or who JUDGES you for doing so needs to step back and think about it a bit deeper. If you call yourself a Christian, you are one. If you believe in Jesus, you are a Christian. If you wonder about where it "all" began or where God/Jesus came from, you are still a Christian. I applaud you for being a free thinker.

God made the speed of light in a vacuum the highest possible velocity for an object with mass in our universe.
Hence, God has made interstellar travel extremely difficult and intergalactic essentially impossible.
The aliens won't be coming. It does not matter.

For all we know God could be brought up on charges for abandonment of a planet the way the crazy women gets in trouble for having 74 starving and neglected cats in her house. Hey, maybe Earth will be put in receivership or some form of planet foster care.

I think you may be thinking a little bit too much. I don't think there was artificial insemination back in Jesus' time. I do think that there might be aliens, because no where in the Bible does it say we are the only living things - but it does say we were the only ones made in God's image.

good question.
I always thought the "I dies so you can be forgiven" seemed more like an alien than a God.
Imagine, some super race of aliens could make an experiment where our "souls" could be transported after our deaths. but as with any experiment you have to try it out on a test case first. So why not send a fella , call he J.C. then "bring him back"
A real god would just blink and it would be so, no death, no son, no nothing needed.

alright i will be honest i think that God actually created aliens.
hey, don't laugh at me i didn't laugh at you. they are a different species that he made and they may or may not be smarter than us. they may be studying us but we will always have the protection of the Lord. don't waste your time worrying about such big things that are only for the Lord to understand. enjoy the life that was given to us on this planet and put your trust in God to reveal all when the time is right.
