A perfect creation would not have sinned when given free will. We would have been smarter, and better. The whole mad in his immage is not possible. A perfect creation would have been good and not done anything to make us need to forgive.

I am going after the "made in his immage" thing.

Sounds about right (I know, I know, I'm going to get about 30 thumbs down because I'm not a Christian. Goddess forbid I worship differently or have different beliefs. Freedom of religion at it's best!)

You are using your (human) interpretations of "good" and "perfect". These are just labels you assign, not absolute truths. Step out of your human mind box and think about it from the persepective of a perfect, eternal Creator.

Here are some real facts for you:

1. God is perfect Love and Joy. Everything he created is perfect and without flaw. Everything he created is equal to every other thing - there is no hierarchy - All is Divine.

2. God is infinite, the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End. Everything that exists is God, nothing that exists is not God. That includes atomic particles, elements, rocks, trees, animals, you, me, planets, stars, galaxies, and planes of existence we are not aware of. You are a direct manifestation of God, as is everyone and everything else. All is One.

3. There is no such thing as sin and no such place as hell. Sin, like all moral judgements is a construct of the human mind. What is considered sinful or acceptable changes from time to time and place to place according to changes in society.

4. There are however immutable laws of karma. As you sow, so shall ye reap. Some actions contribute to your spiritual growth, some take away. You may not face eternal damnation for your actions, but you will bring upon yourself consequences with which you must deal.

5. No matter what your path back to the Creator is guaranteed. There is no way to NOT re-unite with the eternal Love of God. Nobody gets left behind, though you may take as long as you wish to learn the lessons of Love. The only ultimate guarantee in the cosmos is infinite Love and indescribable Joy.

This IS a perfect Creation in the eyes of God, and there is a plan for you to realize that.

What you fail to realize is that perfection as God is doesn't come until after the resurrection. The mortal condition is decidedly not perfect. Yes, we are after His image but we have to progress through the mortal state, learning by our own agency the difference between good and evil. Only Christ made it through without mistakes. That is why He alone could accomplish the atoning sacrifice for the rest of us. If we are as faithful as we know how to be and continue faithful to the end, then our repentance will be accepted and forgiveness extended so that we can, in the resurrection, inherit with Christ, all that the Father has and become as He is. Then we will be perfected.

Funny how you an imperfect being criticize your Creator and think you could have done better. Hmmm, maybe you didn't just taste that rotten fruit that the serpent was pushing, you went back for seconds.

I guess if you were God we would have all been programmed to not be capable of doing stupid things. Thanks, but I'll stick with the one true God.

I'll give you a hint though, while you'll never see perfection in this life, it's yours for the asking in the next.

We were born with original sin, but the freewill to choose good over evil. That is how God has made us in his image. We can be free of sin and in his likeness if we have the strength to, but none of us can resist the tempations of the flesh, which is what keeps us from perfection. Only Jesus was truly perfect.

First of all that guy did not have to say that god was incompetent. I understand where you are coming from with the ceo scenario, but you did not have to push it to an extent of that. God never did make us perfect, nor did he try to. He created us with free will, that's why we can't be perfect. With free will comes influences that are not in god's boundary therefore we sin or cause imperfection to our souls and ourselves. Doesn't know if this makes sense but to me it does LOL!.

when the bible makes reference to "perfect", only one was perfect. That was Jesus Christ himself. No human being is perfect, the bible calls us liars and none of his if we say we are perfect. As an apostolic christian, I am striving to be perfect. I will never succeed as long as I am in the flesh. The bible says we were made in his image based upon appearance- not by perfection. The bible says we have all fallen and come short of the glory of God. One day I will be perfect, but until then I will strive to be....

God seems to have trouble with this. After all, didn't even his chief angel rebel against him? And what does it say when over a third of the hosts of heaven chose to rebel against God rather than submit to God's rule? I think that this shows that there's something seriously wrong with God. After all, if 1/3 of a major corporation decided to rebel & strike against the CEO wouldn't you think that the CEO might be incompetent?

Even tho Adamn & Eve supposedly f*cked up the entire backyard of Eden ingredient, that replaced into meant to take place. If existence have been suited and we've been suited, there may be no think approximately earth. we would desire to besides all have stayed in Heaven if that have been the case. Earth is meant to be complicated and people are meant to sin, thats the entire lesson. Thats what existence is approximately, dealing with no longer common circumstances and growing to be from them. existence is a lesson, no longer meant to be suited.

You are confusing perfect will with free will.
And we are no longer alive in the spirit, but in flesh.

We are still made in his image, and a little less then the angels
