Hate to tell ya, but credit is like a wound...it heals over time. You can build up your credit over time, by making smaller purchases and paying them in full. You know sometimes it's actually your credit history that sucks...no matter how much you make. (I had that problem when I went to buy my first condo...)
I'm surprised that you can't find anything at all...there's always some dealership that has specialized in bad credit or credit problems. You may have to pay up the butt in interest, but at least you can get financed. Also, you can save yourself the trip and call up the F&I departments at a dealership and ask about financing with credit problems, usually they will tellyou straight up.
Or...your last resort is to ask someone with good credit to cosign for you. The only problem is that you are now they're problem, and if you intend on missing a payment or screwing up, you're bringing them down with you as well.
I would check out a free copy of your credit report, and bring it with you when you look for a car...that way the salesmen/finance person will know what they can do for you, without wasting your time. Good luck.....just keep those payments up and you'll get things back in order!!!

depending on your area, there should be a second chance dealership somewhere near you. most of these places advertise that your job is your credit or we won't turn anyone away etc. find them. your payment will be high but you'll at least get a car.

Go to a used car dealer who finances his own loans.
