Foie gras is not the most horrible thing that's happening as far as animal cruelty. If people want to eat it, let their rotten souls eat it. Just boycott it if you don't like it to keep the demand down, and try to convice others not to eat it too. It's kind of unfair to tell a restaurant they can't serve it though. Really, any meat is cruel. How is this any different?

If people want to eat it, that's their perogative. I've only once been to the type of place that would serve it and I wasn't impressed enough to ever go back. I've seen menu items while browsing online that sounded good until you get to the part where it mentions it also includes foie gras. I don't want to eat it at all for the same reason I refuse to eat veal, because of how it's produced. At the same time, I don't feel the least bit guilty eating chicken, beef, etc so I suppose I may come across as hypocritical. To each their own.

Yeah because the way it's made, you wouldn't want to eat it. I eat duck breast, but I would never eat foie gras because it's the liver and that's rather disgusting, plus the way they make it is cruel.

I read the article in the news the other day..I think (just remember I don't like it and don't eat it) that it should be up to the restaurant and the diner, this is an odd thing for goverment to get involved with..they still serve veal and lamb don't they??

Heck, I just learned how to spell "Spaghetti". I think any food I can't spell should be banned.
