I don't know the actual number of people. I know I am one of them. I wear a True Love Waits ring and I have several friends who do. I know that at least 15 million people have heard the message of True Love Waits (an absintence until marriage program) because it was presented on national television. As of June 2006 at least 1,545,749 pledges of absintience have been made. The program is all over Africa. Since its beginning in Uganda the HIV/AIDS rate has dropped from 30% to 6%. It is also in Kenya. It has been presented to congress. It is in at least 20 countries. The program has over 600 ties to the media and magazines have been established as of September 1996. More have been estanblished since then. So I guess the actual number of people commited to sexual absintence before marriage is close to 2 million people counting those from all of the countries and those in the United States. Don't even try to tell me I am the only virgin on my block and don't even say that it isn't cool. If the cool thing is what everyone is doing than I think 2 million people is alot of people doing it.

Many people say that they are going to wait, but then they get in a serious relationship and change their mind. Both ways are awesome, but it seems like most people who say that they are waiting for marriage are just talk. Very few of those people will actually wait! Those that do wait, decide to wait because both partners want to and usually because of religious reasons.

not too many. I can think of only 2 people that I know that are waiting until marriage. And surprisingly they are both guys.

i don't the know the actual # but I am one I want to be ready to lose my virginity.I just figured if I am going to spend the rest of my life with someone give them my heart why not my body. Some things in life you don't want to regret because they are no second chances.
