I think some people who have answered this are a bit racist, and of course being someone that has dark skin - its not something that is (nice) easy to hear.

But I believe in freedom of speech, and believe people should say what they think - whatever that is. I hate PC, but people have always tried to control what others say - i dont think thats new really. And just for the record, i believe in the right of the BNP to exist and say what they like! I dont agree with alot of what they say and think - but they have a right to. I really thought i would like to say that - as a person of dark skin.

Anyway, to answer you're question. Yes, i think unrestricted immigration is a crazy thing. I do think that there are many positive things about immigration, as well as negative. And I also thing that change, movements of people - is inevitable. Its happened through all time, tho maybe not as much or as quickly as recent times. I think of myself as generally liberal, but drastic social change is very destabilising for society (anywhere).

Yeah I think people and the media can be very racist, but yeah I also think that alot of 'leftie's' have this idea that its very uncool to thing to think about the consequences of not worrying about limits on immigration. There are vast numbers of people wanting to come and live in the uk - i believe this to be true.

I would just like to finish by saying this though: yeah the western world is under pressure from people from other countries trying to get in, who usually dont share our culture, dont want to go along with much of it, and want to stay in their own shells when living here - often not intergrating or respecting the traditions and culture of this country. But have you ever thought why? corrupt governments in their countries? have the west from the colonial days plundered much of the riches of these nations?

Or even if none of that is true, could it be in the modern world the west uses its economic muscle, to maintain unfair trade terms - so these countries become so poor, badly governed - and pretty awful places to live in. The west plays poltics, wars, sanctions, to control the resources in these countries. But with good reason maybe?, because if they didnt - we wudnt be so well off, we'd have a much poorer enconomy, life, etc. Basically you could say that if we dont ensure we come out on top, it would be naive to assume outher countries wudnt - so better us than them? Is it any wonder they want to leave their own countries?

I think we have a real choice that no politician will ever give, what i think is the most honest choice on this issue which will never be spoken. Either we accept the way we conduct ourselves in the world, and make sure our nations 'interests' always prevail over other nations - making our lives good, and theirs not good at all. In that case, if we make other peoples countries so crap to live in - we cant complain about people trying to get in. Sure, we can stop them with a good immigration policy, because of the bad effect that will have on British society - and maybe we should? but what i do think is silly is to be angry with them for wanting to - i think it makes sense what they are trying to do (survive?) is that so hard to understand?

Or, we have a a good immigration policy, but we sacrifice our trade advantages, give more aid to these countries to help make them more competitive and wealthy, their countries become better places to live, they feel less likely to risk a dodgy boat ride to the canaries or in a lorry under the channel tunnel - less of them come. And of course, because we become poorer, we really wudnt be such a hot place to live anyway.

Of course, it makes sense why no leader gives us this choice - shows us why these things happen - and reminds us of the simple thing that all these issues are connected.

So my point is - yeah i think you are right, but maybe you should look at the bigger picture if you want people to understand you and for you to understand other people.......

It's significant that most people on forums that support unrestricted immigration mostly can't spell and have no idea of punctuation or grammar and also seem to be of low intelligence. They obviously do not care at all about this country and are prepared to just let it eventually be taken over by people who mostly can't even speak English,do us no good whatsoever,cause overload to our services, keep our wages low,and do not integrate.
Any examination of the court reports in local papers in East Anglia( which has suffered a very high input of Eastern Europeans) reveals that many of them are less than desirable citizens!
Currently 2 of them are in court for murdering one of their own countrymen for £140 each !
Apparently there have been many children abandoned in Poland by parents who have come here to start a new life(nice people!)The Goverment do not advertise the fact that they are able to collect child benefit for children in Poland and other Eastern European Countries(even the abandoned ones presumably !)and that this costs us many millions per year which could be used for many good causes in this Country.
