Yup, I took 4 years of German, a semster of Japanese, and a year of Spanish. I very rarely mixed up words, but sometimes I would find myself thinking in response to a Spanish question "Damn, why can't I just answer this in German! I know how to say the answer in German!"

There's no trick to it. Learning German and Spanish together should be less confusing than learning two romance languages (say Spanish and Italian) or two Germanic languages (say German and Dutch) together. However, it will be twice the work, because the grammar and vocabulary are dissimilar.

Yea. I have a couple of friends that took French and German at the same time, and they also knew some Japanese. I'm taking French in school, learning some German from friends, same with Spanish, and I'm learning some Japanese from random websites and watching anime. ^_^; So yes, it is possible. You may get the accents mixed up once in a while (I'll sometimes say a French word with a Japanese accent), but other than that, it'll be easier than you think.

Sure, no problem.
German is a Germanic language and Spanish a Romance one.
They are very different, so there is little chance of mixing them up.

I am in the middle of studying French, German, and Italian right now, and it just hasn't been a problem. (I am an opera student) Although, like the first answer, I wish sometimes I could answer in any of the languages I am studying!
