The taste is heaps better and meat is much more tender. I always slow cook, whether in the over or in a sauspan. You just put it on and let it cook on a low heat and get on with your jobs while dinner is cooking. If it is in the over, remember to baste every so often. Try it it is really worth while.

I cook "slow food" most days. Cheaper and better. And my husband takes leftovers everyday to warm up for lunch. But when I was working outside the home I found that my time was too important to me to spend hours in the kitchen cooking and cleaning up. Takout seemed much more practical.

I'm always puzzled at this kind of question.

I cook for my husband and myself every single day. I make things like pot roast with braised potatoes, teriyaki salmon (yes, I make my own teriyaki sauce), meatloaf, chef's salads, stir-fried chicken & vegetables, baked ham, liver & onions, quiche Lorraine, and other family favorites.

We have fast food about once every three months; we go to a restaurant about as often.

I find it hard to believe that anyone would want it any other way!

Food cooked in a slow cooker is very, very tender and convenient as can be on all day whilst you get on with other things.

I love food that is cooked slowly, as long as someone else does the cooking.
