No, they wear them because they don't want visible panty lines to show if they're wearing something form-fitting. Last time I checked they had thongs for men to wear also, but in your case if you wore those, you'd be called a homosexual. Also, not all woment wear thongs you know.
Besides, thongs are sexy as hell. I like them as well as bikini underwear and g-strings(or v-strings and t-strings) in addition to them being low-rise too.
To the person who said that those type of women shouldn't be wearing them: Who died and let you determine what kind of underwear that "those type of women" should and shouldn't be wearing. It's a free country, they can wear whatever kind of underwear they want.

No, they wear them because they care more about some stupid man getting excited than they care about their own comfort. I'll pass. My fruit of the loom bikinis and low cut panties do fine by me.
There are no teeth in my ******** to floss, so maybe some people have teeth in there and the thong kinda keeps the stains down or something. Dunno.

the obsession with the thongs are out of it, i hate thongs.they look pathetic, they are headbands that have no purpose. underwear was invented to cover up not cover half and leave the rest hanging out -oohhh...insecurity about themselves i suppose, theres nothing worse then having a drink at a cafe and someone bends over and theres a g ,looking at you and not ot mention a CRACK....each to their own i suppose.
