Poison ivy works through an oil that creates a large allergic reaction in some people. This oil to other people is just like vegetable oil. It is really just a mean allergen. Only about 1 in 5 people are allergic to it give or take. The plant that gets me is fern grass of any kind. I swell up and get very sick.

You wont break out if you dont have an allergy to the poison

Some people are allergic to strawberries, some aren't. Some people are allergic to chocolate, some aren't. It's the same thing.

You have to be allergic to it to break out. My boy friend is seriously allergic but it doesn't bother me.
