Does anyone know what the formula is for doing this?

this is old school now,
but say someone is five foot.
Five feet equals 100 pounds plus or minus 10 percent.
So a 5' person should weigh in the range of
90-110 pounds.
Say if 5'6".
5 feet equals 100 pounds.
6 inches equals 5 pounds per inch- equals 30 pounds.
so if 5' 6"
ideal body weight would be plus or minus 10 percent:
100 +30 = 130 + or - 10 % = 117-143 ideal body weight range.
