It could be any number of things. Are you eating well? If you are a vegetarian maybe you aren't getting enough protein or iron. Even if you're not a vegetarian, this may still be the case. If it is around the time of your period, you may also get tired. Also, not enough exercise can make you feel very groggy.
The bottom line is - it could be anything and you should see your doctor if this continues!

I sleep a lot as well, and I have realized that if I over-sleep I am tired throughout the whole day and I can't fall asleep. If I don't get enough sleep, then I'm super hyper. It's weird I know, but we are treating our bodies very poorly. What you should do is set a bed time and a wake up time. You should sleep for 8 to 9 hours (that's all that your body needs, believe it or not). Also, you need to eat a very healthy breakfast in the morning that consists of lots of protein and little sugar. If you need a pick-me-up during the day you should eat an apple, or any fruit. And, it's better if you eat 6 small healthy meals a day instead of 3 large ones because it will help maintain your blood sugar. Speaking of blood sugar, you may be hypo/hypoglycemic, you should talk to a doctor about it. Good luck.

I'm not sure what that could be but it might be helpful to go to a clinic that specializes in sleep disorder to inquire what it might be. When your body oversleeps it is true that you will actually feel more tired than rested. Could be a Thyroid problem but maybe not... I wouldn't be able to guess accurately as a lot of other information would need to be known like if you've also noticed a change in eating habits, how your mood has been... any other health problems etc... any who good luck in finding out.. BTW awesome afro puffs.

Have you been starving yourself from sleep?
Did you drink anything before you slept?
Do you sleep alone? Maybe your partner can tell if you have restless leg syndrome or are just moving a lot in bed.
You might also try going to bed the same time every night and getting up the same time in the morning.
Lots of reasons... probably best to start with your family physician.

did you drink or do any drugs? You could be pregnant. It is proven the more you sleep the more tired you will feel. If none of the above then you should see your Dr. and get blood work done. If that don't resolve anything then go to a neurologist.
Good luck!!

Something is underlying here! and it is putting you into a depressive restless mode, that causes you to have REM's To restore rest, go out and mix with people, maybe in a bar setting as they are more accepting, less critical than hypo's in the church setting. You will see how they to have things that would have them escape from reality also, but they deal with it . You will gain a laundry list of ways to cope!

Sometimes too much sleep is not good maybe you should try taking some vitamins like Vitamin C or Vitamin E to help give you a little more energy.

That happens to me alot. I can sleep all day and still feel tired when I wake up. I think it's just a working hard thing. I don't think about it.
