My friend pops zits with a needle, is it just me or is that gross?

It's just you. Using a clean needle gives the puss an outlet without squeezing the surrounding skin. It's what your body is trying to do anyhow, remove the bacteria by shoving it out the pore. Clean hands, clean pin, and clean the area afterwards, it's how they do it in spas.

To pop or not to pop...

The rule that I go by is, I'll pop if it will look better after I pop it.

Some zits will pop if you just squeeze them, but others need a little encouragement, as it were. It's reasonable in this situation to disinfect a needle or pin and use that to relieve the pressure on the zit.

If the zit is really deep or diffuse, popping it with a needle might not work. It just depends.

Of course, I don't think that popping zits is an activity that should be done in public. THAT would be gross.

Its Gross, you shouldn't pop zitz, because you can push it deeper into your skin, and you could even scar your face.

I would recommend she saw a dermatologist. It is unhealthy. It can cause scares, an even deeper infection with more and more zits coming out. it is a vicious cycle. do you even know what a vicious cycle is? Do tell your friend, please.

It sgross if they do it in front of you. If thats what the friend wants to do then fine but do it behind a closed bathroom door.
