The phone is an Ameritech Brand Model # 1933 I have no clue where to go to find a replacement handset and we need one badly The base of the phone works fine just the handset quit on us

well, let me tell you this, You cna not replace a handset for a cordless, unless you contact the manufature or the company, but you got to pay the big money.
i would prefer to buy the whole new thing.
which would be cheaper.

Besides trying to replace the battery, your best choice would be to shop around on websites like BestBuy.com, CircuitCity.Com, WalMart.Com, Kmart.Com, etc. They tend to have quality products at low prices, and you can return them if they do not work. It'd be a good idea to purchase a warranty as well - whichever phone you choose. Stores like eBay don't provide services like that. Hope this helps!!
